BLEKO WHEN SOMEONE TYPES ALL CAPITALS PEOPLE USUALLY THINK YOU ARE YELLING AT THEM SO IT IS BETTER TO USE LOWER CASE!!!!!
Sorry for yelling, I got a little excited. Can you please elaborate as to what the function of the circuit is, because I have never heard of it, but that does not mean someone else might.

i dont know the way and iam searching for a circuit..........

I remeber a fish caller circuit from back in the 70's. I was a LF pulse generator that supposedly attracted fish. Dunno if it worked unsure.gif

If you had taken the time to look, many of the options on the google search are for KITS that allow you to build it yourself with etched PCBs and all. So yes, you can buy the parts and build it yourself.

Hi Blekos,

The only reason we're offering kit links is the folk that have responded so far may not know enough about fish science to design one. I know I don't sad.gif

Lots of folk pass through here, but it takes a couple of weeks for them to. Maybe one of them will know? It just takes patience wink.gif

30 second voice recorder IC with "Heeeeeeeeeeeere, Fishy fishy..."

fish.gif

But seriously folks...

No ictheologist here, but seem to remember fish hear/feel through an array of lateral sensors that run down their sides about halfway up.

If I was gonna try to guess at something like this I'd probably base it on a simple 555 circuit. I don't think you'd have to go nuts on power levels as water is an excellent medium for sound travel and you're trying to attract the fish not scare the bejesus out of them. What frequency? I dunno - I'm not a fish and maybe different species like different frequencies - or multiples - or sweeps...

I guess I'd drop a piezo into the water off the end of a dock and dork around with the frequencies for the experiment of it.

Umm, I'd have to wonder what kinds of sounds "natural fish food" makes - like a mosquito or those big things that look like them landing on water. My opening joke may not be that funny well, not that it was anyway) after all if you could find a way to record this kind of thing and attempt to emulate it.

Btw, me guts tell me that natural fish food puts out a lot in the high audio and ultrasonic... But I don't really know - Is a guess.

Jimthecopierwrench biggrin.gif

YOU ARE VERY CLOSE TO IT!!!!!!!
IT FUNCTIONS WITH A WAY LIKE THIS.
1ST CATEGORY......devices which produce frequencies which call fish(because fish sense it like other fish which are trying to eat something....etc)

2ND CATEGORY.....devices like tape players with some recorded voices...i dont know....exactly what voices do they use!!!!!

3RD CATEGORY....devices which produce negative ions.......

4TH CATEGORY........devices which produce light..........signals?!

i will give more informations next days....thanks laugh.gif

Yeah, thought about using yellow-green through blue LEDs on a lure to see if the little sushis came after any particular wavelength or flashing frequencies. Just one more thing I never got around to doing... But hadn't really put much thought at all into a sonic device until now. The more I think of it the more I think that ultra low power might be the way to go.

As not very hairy monkeys we have this habit of anthropomorphization - we project our thought patterns and feelings into other anomal species. I can just see the "beacon" thought process now: Nail out a gazillion Db of sound and the fish will come from afar! But I think it's more likely that rediculously low power levels actually emulating the food might be naturally more attractive and effective.

Ultrasonics are a really neat set of frequencies where theres a lot to hear that you never knew (well, cuz you cant hear!), and a lot of that centered around fluids and fluid dynamics. I wouldn't be the least bit suprised to find that little fishies (being the food for bigger fishies) have distinctive signatures as they flap their little arses and microcavitate behind themselves that big fishies hear as dinner bells.

HERE IT IS!!!!!!!!!
I MADE IT MY FRIENDS A FISH CALLER'S CIRCUIT.........
I FOUND IT IN A FISHING MAGAZINE..... I TRIED TO MAKE IT WORK IN WORKBENCH BUT.......NOTHING........THEN I TOOK IN IN UNIVERSITY(I STUDY ELECTRONICS) I SHOWED ITTO A TEACHER AND HE TOLD ME .....I SEE SOMETHING WRONG,I DONT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT....I DONT THINK THAT IT CAN WORK AS IT IS

IT PRODUCES TWO FREQUENCIES........WITH THE POTENSIOMETERS WE CAN ADJUST THEM AS WE LIKE(AS THE FISH LIKE THEM )

1.IN D1 WE USE 1N4148 BUT THE CONSTRUCTOR TOLD ME TO USE 2N2222.....THIS IS A TRANSISTOR!!!!!!!!!!!HOW CAN I PUT A TRANSISTOR INSTEAD OF A DIODE?????

P3 ADJUSTS THE VOLUME IT IS ALINEAR POTENSIOMETER
P2 ADJUSTS FREQUENCY B
P1 ADJUSTS FREQUENCY A
S2 CHANGES THE SCALE OF FREQ A
S3 CHANGES THE SCALE OF FREQ B
S4 TURNS FREQ B OFF
S1 TURNS THE DEVICE ON/OFF
INSTEAD OF SPEAKER WE CAN USE A PIEZO
CONSTRUCTOR TOLD ME THAT I CAN USE ONE OF THESE ICs 4049,4050,4069,4584,40106 BUT IS BETTER TO PREFER 40106
WE USE A 9 VOLT BATTERY
THE CALLER'S SCOPE IS ABOUT 200 METERS

INSTEAD OF BC 557 TRANSISTOR ,HE TOLD ME TO USE BC 547

I WILL TRY IT IN A BREADBOARD BUT SOMEONE MUST MAKE IT WORK!!!!!!!!!
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

BLEKOS a word of advice, as others have pointed out...

Turn off the ALL CAP text! It's that little button on your keyboard far left that has the text "Caps Lock" on it...

Unless you are using an APPLE ][ computer your not going to impress anyone with the all caps typing...
