hello all,
need to translate this english statement to propositional variable.
"you can not ride the roller coaster if you are under 4 feet tall unless you are older than 16 years old"
i did it this way - P : "you can ride the roller coaster"
Q : "you are under 4 feet tall"
R : "you are older than 16 years old"

it should give me ~ P --> (Q --> R)

but the book Rosen[2008] gives (Q ^ ~ R) --> ~ P sad.gif

thank you for your reply,
but the connective used is "conjunction ( ^ )" and the book states....
"The word "unless" is often used to express conditional statement"
