Due to unknown causes, the forum didn't behave correctly over the past few day. It seems that our ISP performed a backup action at one of their servers and after that the forum didn't work correctly anymore. We had to change a few PHP lines in the forum source code to get the forum back online. The problem might be caused by a different version of PHP or MySQL but we are still not sure.
During the weekend, we might take the forum back off-line to do some more investigation and to solve another issue... Thanx, DD EDIT: It might be the case that some of the latest posts have been lost because we had to do a restore of the MySQL database. Hopefully you fellows will get the problems hammered out. If it's any help, the error message I got mentioned something about a "dutchforce table" not existing. Or something like that.

Would it be worth backing up the forum entirely and then upgrading it? This version seems quite old in comparison to the one listed on their site (v1.3.1 vs. v3.1), and which is perhaps where some of these problems are coming from.
Perhaps, even, move over to phpBB v3 (which is free, unlike IPB)? -------------------- Good trades with: Skeith, Nothing40, Jimthecopierwrench. Want it!'s owing: Three.

We are not running v1.3.1 at all, but in fact v2.6.0. I guess that the footer can confuse... And I don't think that it's the software that is creating issues, but the ISP. Nothing fishy ever happened with the old DF ISP... |
