I am trying to solve problem with my B+K Precision 1500. I think it is vertical section or power supply. The wave forms appear but he bottom of ch1 and ch2 are always above center of screen. Even when they are grnd and I adjust verticle position they don't go below center of screen. The wave forms look normal otherwise. I have searched but cannot find any schematics for this scope. It is probably early 80s but I would like to be able to use. I do have a Hitachi V212 DC scope that I may be able to use to help. I mainly need to identify the verticle section and P/S section. Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

Scope vertical amps are always differential (unless you got some el-cheapo from yesteryear), so one side of the differential is out.

Given that the trace is still visible and not flying off the screen, it's likely toward the CRT. Begin checking some collector voltages (with the "position" control centred) and see which side isn't like the other wink.gif

Cheers!

hmmm ... i did some looking around (five places that have free manuals) ... i did not find a set of schematics . they may be buried in some category ... the search engines at the sites are not that great sometimes .

however , there is this place : http://www.bkmanuals.com/1401-1500.htm
the cost of the schematics is 15 bucks .
