I have a MicroPhone that i use for Teamspeak and skype. I want to beable to mute my mic without having to go in to the program im using. So i want to make some kind of board that i can plug my Mic in.

I have no idea where to start. So could someone help me?

I want it to have a toggle switch so all i have to do it press it and im muted. I want it to have an led on so i know when im muted.

I did this in shool so i know how to solders and make the boards just no idea what i need to put on them.

If im in the wrong place could someone point me to the right place

A small box that your microphone plugs into - then the box plugs into the microphone socket - could hold a double pole switch, one pole switching the mic in/out and one switching the LED on/off.

You would need a batery in the box too but given the low power consumption this shouldn't prove a problem.

leaving an open circuit on a mic input is not gona cut it, the os will liekly think it has been unplugged.
i would try shorting the mic pins with the switch.

Hi,..i am new user here. As suggested above you can make the board as per your own requirement. You just need some microphone sockets and switches. I don't have any idea that how you will do that LED about thing but i think it shouldn't be difficult.
