Hi. I need to make a bunch of boards and I'm sick to death of the mess of perf board and the confusion of strip board. I want to try etching my own PCBs using the laser printer method.
The circuit is very simple - just a bunch of relays and diodes, but...
#1 I'm not sure if relays have standardized pin spacing...I'd assume so, but I need software that will have the relevant part in the library.
#2 I'd like to have final say on where things sit on the board, I don't care what my PC thinks is a good layout.
#3 I'm currently downloading (for edumacational purposes!) Diptrace, Altium and something I don't remember...is there anything that will be better for my needs. It will be used this once and then not again for some time so I'd rather go with whatever is easiest to pick up this time, then find something more capable when I have more time to learn how to use it. (Not that there's a deadline, I guess)

Actually, I ended up just measuring the pin spacing and doing it in Photoshop
